Iratxe Esnaola (Donostia, 1983) has won the Agustin Zubikarai Short Novel Prize for her work, Galerna (Gale). The work will be published in the spring by Elkar. Esnaola will also receive a monetary award of 5,400 euros. The panel of judges included Miren Agur Meabe, Ana Urkiza and Xabier Mendiguren.
Iratxe Esnaola holds degrees in journalism from the University of the Basque Country, and in literary theory and comparative literature from the University of Granada (Andalusia, Spain). She is currently a university professor in Santiago, Chile.
